Ālambana (P. ārammaṇa; T. dmigs pa; C. suoyuan) can be translated as "that which is observed", "objective support","epistemological object", etc.

In the context of Buddhist logic and epistemology, it refers to the object of any one of the six sense consciousness.[1]
