Śakra (P. Sakka; T. brgya byin བརྒྱ་བྱིན་; C. di-shi) is the name for the ruler of the Heaven of the Thirty-Three (Trāyastriṃśa). He is often associated with the Vedic god Indra. He is commonly referred to in Buddhist texts as "Śakra, king of the gods."[1]
