Bhūmi (Skt.; T. sa; C. di; J. ji; K. chi 地) literally means "ground" or "foundation". In the Mahayana tradition, the term is used to refer to the stages in the path of a bodhisattva.

The most common list of bhumis are the ten bhumis identified in the Dasabhumika Sutra.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the ten bhumis are commonly described in the context of the five paths.
