śakti (T. nus pa) refers to potency, capacity, ability, power.[1]

The 84000 glossary states:

In colloquial usage, the term means “ability”; in a more esoteric sense, it denotes feminine energy and power; it is also used when referring to powerful female spirits (usually within the Śaiva pantheon).[1]

In Hinduism, śakti is the "Universal Power" that underlies and sustains all existence. It is often personified as a female deity.[2]

In the Ratnagotravibhāga, the term śakti is used to refer to the power of a buddha (as described in the first vajra point).
