Dasheng dayi zhang (J. Daijō daigishō; K. Taesŭng taeŭi chang 大乗大義章). “Compendium of the Great Purport of the Mahāyāna.”[1] Also known as the Jiumoluoshi fashi dayi ("The Great Teaching of Dharma Master Kumārajīva").[1]

This text is a record of the correspondence between the translators Kumārajīva and Lushan Huiyuan.[2] The letters present Kumārajīva's replies to Lushan Huiyuan's inquiries about Mahayana doctrine.[1]

"There are a total of eighteen categories of questions that are concerned largely with the nature of the dharma body (dharmakāya), emptiness (śūnyatā), and the mind (citta)."[1]

This text is found in the Taishō under the title Jiumoluoshi fashi dayi (鳩摩羅什法師大義, T 1856).[2]
